Born and raised in Toronto, Nico studied at the University of Toronto where he obtained Honors Bachelor of Science (2001) and Master of Architecture (2005) degrees. His graduate thesis, Heterotopias: Other Space, involved spatial and phenomenological studies on suppressed architectures. It examined the boundaries of architecture and transformed the conventional – or highlighted the mundane- to deploy the potential power of architecture. In 2006 he moved to New York City employed as an Architectural Designer and is working towards his architectural license, among many other creative endeavors.
