Yuriko Kubota was born in Tokyo, Japan. She received her BFA in oil painting studies from Jyoshibi University of Art and Design in Japan. In Toronto, Yuriko started experimenting with photography as an extension of her practice in painting and exploring exciting possibilities through the medium. She had her solo exhibition at Pikto gallery in Toronto, and participated many group exhibitions in Toronto and Tokyo.
