Photographer, Printmaker, Video Artist

Carney recently completed his MFA at the University of Waterloo. Employing a printmaker's sensibility to photography and video shorts, he makes multilayered compositions exploring singular circumstances in an effort to reconstitute perceptual impact and evoke memory. Carney was the recipient of the Jack Gilbert Award for Best Computer Altered Photography at the 2009 Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition.
