Lizz Aston is fibre-based artist and a recent graduate of the Crafts and Design program at Sheridan Tech. She is currently an artist-in-residence in the textile studio at Harbourfront Centre. In her work, Aston focuses on making concept-based sculpture that has been developed with regards to traditional and contemporary textile processes. She is currently developing a series of burn-studies entitled Increasing Your Knot Vocabulary, which examines the residual histories and symbolism imbedded in knotting practices.
